Whitman Men's Volleyball
The travel team competed in three tournaments this year. First was a strong showing at the All-Star Invitational at UW. Then the team traveled to Bellingham to compete in PIVA's BASH 4 CASH tournament. Finally we participated in PIVA Championships. Victories were few and far between, but we had a lot of fun and grew as a team throughout.

Many people have asked us what the man on our uniforms are for. When our team was created in 2008 we needed a mascot. Many club sports at Whitman have their own mascots and so we chose ours, the Man, because we play volleyball and we are men. Now we proudly display the bathroom symbol on our jerseys and bask in the odd looks we get during tournaments. Remember if you see the man and wonder who we are, we are WhitMAN!

The Whitman College Men's Volleyball Team is committed to competing at a high level against other schools in the Pacific Northwest while including any and all interested players on our roster. We travel to three or four tournaments a year against other club teams in the region through the Pacific Intercollegiate Volleyball Association, often joining the Women's Club Volleyball Team at these tournaments. While our team matches up favorably against many bigger state schools, the majority of players on our roster first learned to play volleyball through our program. Whatever your skill level, we encourage you to come practice with us and get hooked on the great sport of volleyball!
